Great cam for $1if you can find one, I never could. Honestly the lack of power in the lower RPM range with the LScam was awesome. Thanks for providing these numbers. They look like the might have come from a cam doctor, but I’m not sure you have transcribed them correctly.

Boost pressure dropped by more than psi, but peak power numbers checked in at only 7hp and 6lb-ft of torque. So after a few more tweeks he settled on 441hp and 417trq. He said there wasnt a lot to tune with this cam.

Put some decent valve springs in it and you can run either of those cams without issue from a valve float perspective. Does anyone know of any threads on replacing the stock cam with the lscam. I found some videos on a Camaro ss which I believe is the same, but I want to make sure. I have been hearing you need a new gear and three bolt retainer but I thought our cars already came with that.


The cam idles a tiny bit more smoothly than the stock LScam , and. Since the GGT and GXP share the same heads, this would be applicable. With the bigger cam , which is still smaller by a decent amount, than most companies torque cams we lost power everywhere.

For those of you with a Gen III LS block ( cam sensor in the back of the motor), whom are using an LS, LS LS or even a Gen IV LS 3-bolt camshaft (no camshaft pickup on the cam ), this kit is what you need.
