Local AKA chapters observe Founders’ Day. Woodworth Chapel on the campus of Tougaloo College was the setting for nine (9) local state chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to join sisters of the Beta Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha in a solemn, yet celebratory, Founders ’ Day Program. Founders Day Members from all four San Diego chapters came together on the UC San Diego campus to celebrate 1years of Kappa Alpha Theta. This year, the alumnae chapter handed out their first Founders Legacy Awards to four ladies from each chapter who resembe the spirit and characteristics of our four founders.
