Avon books submissions

We are currently open to submissions for the Avon list. At Avon we publish some of the leading names in commercial fiction, including Sunday Times bestsellers C. Taylor, Scott Mariani and Sue Moorcroft, and digital chart toppers, Phillipa Ashley, Lorna Cook, Mel Sherratt and Mandy Robotham. If you have a commercial novel you think might be of interest to us, we’d love to see it.


Avon Books is closed to submissions.

We currently are closed for unsolicited submissions. Please subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media for updates on future open submission periods. It is recognized for having pioneered the historical romance category and continues to publish in wide variety of other genres, including paranormal, urban fantasy, contemporary and regency. Avon Romance is a romance imprint of HarperCollins. If your book does well in terms of digital sales and it is over 20words in length it will receive a print run. Avon says all romance subgenres are welcome.


The only mandate is that HEA (happily ever after) and HEA (happy for now) conclusions are required.

Avon opens submissions for the first time. The call for romance submissions is on Avon’s. Avon submission guidelines state all manuscripts can be submitted online. Formatting choices are up to you.

Avon is one of the big names in the romance publishing industry, but maybe that’s because they’re so lax. Their submission process seems like it would be a breeze (as long as they can read it, format everything however you want!) and they even have a specific list of things to get you noticed. The open submissions window remains open with no current plans to close it, an Avon spokesperson said. We are on the lookout for commercial fiction from laugh-out-loud romantic comedies, to sweeping historical, psychological suspense, crime thrillers and feel-good women’s fiction. In nonfiction: memoirs, sport (UK and Ireland in particular), humour, food and drink, activity books. Read submission guidelines here. They accept submissions of middle grade readers, young adult books , adult fiction, and adult fiction in all genres, which is a broad spectrum to publish.


They are currently seeking submissions for a brand new imprint, Carina Adores.

It is a new publisher with only a few books under their belt and a few forthcoming books as well. They have print and electronic versions of all their books. We accept submissions in English only. I would certainly recommend A Random Act of Kindness by Sophie Jenkins and published by Avon books. A great feel good story which all stems from one moment of kindness, resulting in handing some money back to an elderly lady on a bus, a random act of kindness, this is a story just right for summer holidays.
