Typically auditions are on Saturday 11am - 3pm and Sunday 6pm - 9pm.

Please verify dates and times on the specific audition page. Some roles may be pre-cast, and will be noted in the audition notice. Auditions for Dance performances are held the first Friday of classes in both the Fall and Spring semesters. Faculty, Graduate Students and Visiting Artists attend these auditions. Willem DaFoe Founded by Darnell Morris, Ovations Theatre is the DC-metro area’s newest musical theatre education and performance program for young people. Auditions for A Christmas Carol, The Musical This is the original Charles Dickens version of the famous story, presented every year at the Chesapeake Arts Center. The production is known for its authenticity and faithfulness to the novel.

Auditions will include cold readings from the script, individually and in groupings.

Please be prepared to list your conflicts (i.e, dates when you can’t attend rehearsals). Please prepare bars of a broadway show tune or a folk song and bring the music. An accompanist will be provided. Please make sure to specify if you are AEA, EMC, or NON-UNION and if you are a local Baltimore area actor.
